Altbach HKW3: Fabrication and Installation of Alloy Steel Piping and Supports
Fabrication at our facilities in Sindos: marking, cutting, bevelling, fit-up and welding to the project IFC isometrics, with PWHT, dimensional control and a full documentation package.
40-inch Natural Gas Metering System with Ultrasonic Flowmeters
Fabrication, assembly, quality assurance and control, shop tests and inspections of a 40-inch natural gas metering system with ultrasonic flowmeters.
Gas Interconnector Greece–Bulgaria (IGB)
Prefabrication and field mechanical works for the DESFA and TAP facilities at the IGB station in Komotini.

Terms explained

NDT: Non-destructive testing: methods such as visual (VT), radiographic (RT), ultrasonic (UT) and penetrant (PT) testing that check welds and materials for defects without damaging them.
PWHT: Post-weld heat treatment: controlled heating and cooling of a welded joint, to relieve stresses and restore the properties of the material.
DCS / ESD: A DCS (distributed control system) runs the process; an ESD (emergency shutdown) system takes the plant to a safe state when it detects a hazardous condition.
IFC isometrics: Isometric piping drawings issued for construction (IFC): the approved drawings from which each pipe spool is fabricated.
