DESFA Kardia Metering Station (U-9430): Detailed Engineering, Procurement & Construction
EPC of the Kardia metering station (U-9430) for DESFA: accurate gas metering, system integration and reliable operation in the national transmission network.
The Kardia metering station (U-9430) is an EPC project for DESFA: SEMAC is responsible for everything from detailed engineering and equipment procurement to construction, testing and handover. The station meters natural gas accurately, controls its pressure and connects safely to the Hellenic Gas Transmission System, in line with DESFA's specifications and international standards.
Civil, mechanical and electrical works run in parallel on site: foundations and equipment bases, buildings and the control room, steel structures and supports, process piping and valves, cabling, control panels and the SCADA system. Our team installs and calibrates the metering equipment and instruments.
The photos date from June 2026: the steel canopy is erected, while formwork and concrete works on the building and the earthworks are under way. The project concludes with functional testing of all systems, performance verification and handover to DESFA.
